Trentham Estate celebrates 30 years

Australia’s Trentham Estate is celebrating its 30th year as a family-owned and operated winery, cellar door and restaurant. The original partnership between brothers Anthony and Patrick Murphy and Anthony’s wife Nola is still going strong, with all three remaining very active in day-to-day operations as chief winemaker, viticulturist and overseeing cellar door/events respectively.

Trentham’s winemaking facility has expanded from its first crush in the 1980s to a boutique, state-of-the-art feature handling some 5,000 tonnes of fruit each vintage for both the estate labels as well as Murphy Vineyards and the River Retreat range.

 “Being able to create something that people genuinely enjoy and that contributes to great experiences and memories is incredibly satisfying,” Patrick Murphy, Director and Vineyard Manager.
