Fresh red fruits with integrated cedar spice; long, savoury and rustic. Plum, thyme, showing super extraction. Complex, vibrant and soft.International Wine Challenge 2016
The grapes for this Bannockburn Pinot Noir are hand harvested from Forrest's five hectare vineyard in Central Otago, crafted only in the best vintages.
The wine is garnet in colour with heady aromas of black cherries, blackberries, spice and forest floor with a touch of dried herbs. Quite broad on the palate, full and round with sweet flavours of blackberry and cassis, underpinned with earthy, dusty notes and a touch of tar. Silky tannins finish off this beautifully-balanced, powerfully-structured wine.
