This Tasmanian Chardonnay is part of Trentham Estate's carefully-selected Family Reserve Range that aims to epitomise the best the region has to offer.

Light straw green colour with subtle citrus and grapefruit supported by toasted oak nuances. Persistent clean flavours show an ideal balance of fruit weight and cool climate crispness. A refined, elegant Chardonnay.

Vinification details

The fruit was sourced from two vineyards in the West Tamar and Pipers Brook regions of north eastern Tasmania, a cool climate region highly regarded for producing premium Chardonnay. Harvested in late March at 12.8 Baume the fruit was of exceptional quality, with high natural acid and elegant stone fruit flavour. The fruit was hand picked and whole bunch pressed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation then matured in French oak puncheons prior to blending and bottling in June 2014.
