Alfa Spiga is O. Fournier’s flagship Spanish wine, spending 18+ months in new oak and a further year in bottle before release.

Bountiful notes of both red and dark berry fruits mix with coffee, liquorice and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium bodied with intricately woven tannins, leading to a finish that is long and classic.

Grapes were hand picked into 18kg boxes before bunch selection back at the winery and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with cold maceration (between 6-8°C) for seven days, followed by further maceration for 30 days. The wine was then aged for twenty months in French (90%) and American (10%) new oak barrels.
